A lower tier cannot outweigh a meaningful difference at a higher tier. Wild Card analysis applies whenever another NFC North team leads the division.

What “Toss Up” means

Neutral: no supported tier differs. Uncertain: missing, stale, conflicting, or same-tier competing evidence prevents a defensible direction.

Impact labels

High, Medium, and Low describe modeled impact on The Bears—not the probability that a recommendation is correct. These labels remain provisional.

Data and freshness

The 2025 schedule and final scores and the complete 2026 regular-season schedule come from the nflverse-data schedules dataset, used under CC BY 4.0 and normalized and processed by BearSight. Week 1 uses the approved deterministic opening-week contract. Weeks 2 through 6 use validated final-results snapshots from the preceding week. Weeks 7–18 remain Pending until the preceding results establish their official entry snapshots. BearSight begins each weekly update on Tuesday after the previous week’s games are complete. Recommendations appear after the results, standings and football logic pass review.

Limits of this prototype

Draft analysis is out of scope. Historical recommendations use the current deterministic week-entry model and remain subject to independent football-logic review before a production-readiness claim.
